Charlestown real estate is desirable because of its crich historical significance and is located northeast of Boston proper on a peninsula extending southeast between the  Charles River and the Mystic River.  You can walk it from the Navy Yard across the bridge to the North End and the Financial District in 10 to 30 minutes, depending on how far you go. Drive in from Exit 25 (Causeway St./North Station) and Exit 28 (Charlestown/Sullivan Square) on Route I-93, the Charlestown/Somerville Exit on Route 1 after the Tobin Bridge, Storrow Drive in Boston or Memorial Drive in Cambridge. Most single family home prices range from the high $200Ks to over $2M. Condominiums are mainly priced from $150K through $500K. There are also a handful of multi-family properties available.
